Wasting food ?

From: Hayat Anne Osman

Food and drink are great bounties of Allah Ta`ala. Every grain of food and every drop of water or any halaal drink must be greatly appreciated. Wasting is the way of shaitaan. Allah Ta`ala says: "Indeed those who waste are the brothers of shaitaan. Verily shaitaan was most ungrateful to his Rabb" (S:17,V: 27). We have been especially warned against wasting food and drink. The Quraan-ul- Kareem proclaims: "Eat and drink and do not waste, verily Allah does not love those who waste." (S:7, V:31)

GROSS INGRATITUDE
Delibrately wasting even a little food is an act of gross ingratitude. Ingratitude draws down the wrath of Allah Ta`ala, as is clearly mentioned in the Quraan: "If you are grateful I will grant you increase (in your bounties) and if your are ungrateful then verily my punishment is very severe." (S: 14, V: 7)

Wiping the utensil clean with one's finger even of the little specks of food may be regarded as an act of poor manners by those who are devoid of manners and etiquette entirely. In Western cultures, and in the minds of those who ape the West, good etiquette is to waste some food and drink. This is no surprise. After all, in Western culture if two couples meet, it will be bad manners if each man does not embrace his friend's wife. When his friend is embraces his wife, or at least warmly shakes her hand, "good western manners" will dictate that he must stand by smiling from ear to ear. It is this very rotten culture that teaches one that it is good manners to
waste the bounties of Allah Ta'ala. May Allah Ta'ala save us from aping such rotten values.

UTENSIL SEEKS FORGIVENESS
In the beautiful Deen of Islam (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) that after eating he would lick the
utensil clean with his finger and not leave behind even a tiny speck of food and drink. He would even lick his fingers clean of any food particles. He ordered his followers to also do the same, as has been mentioned in many Ahadith. In fact, great virtues have been mentioned for this. In a narration of Tirmizi it has been mentioned that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: "The one who eats in a plate, then licks it clean (with his finger), the utensil seeks forgiveness for him." In another narration it is mentioned that the utensil prays for him in the words: " May Allah free you from the fire as you have freed me from shaitaan (by not leaving any food behind for shaitaan)" (Mishkaat)., true manners and etiquettes have been taught. Among these etiquettes is to appreciate every ni'mat (bounty) of Allah Ta'ala. This includes every grain of food and every drop of water. Hence, it was the practice of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) that after eating he would lick the utensil clean with his finger and not leave behind even a tiny speck of food and drink. He would even lick his fingers clean of any food particles. He ordered his followers to also do the same, as has been mentioned in many Ahadith. In fact, great virtues have been mentioned for this.

In a narration of Tirmizi it has been mentioned that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: "The one who eats in a plate, then licks it clean (with his finger), the utensil seeks forgiveness for him." In another narration it is mentioned that the utensil prays for him in the words: " May Allah free you from the fire as you have freed me from shaitaan (by not leaving any food behind for shaitaan)" (Mishkaat).

Islam forbids lesbianism and homosexuality? See the reasons

Question:
Could you please tell me that why is homosexuality a sin in islam? I know it's a great sin but my question is why? I haven't able to find the real reason why? So، if you could can you also tell me that what Allah has says in Quran or in hadith about it. Please let me know as soon as possible.

Answer:
Praise be to Allaah.
The Muslims should not doubt, even for an instant, that what Allaah has prescribed is wise. He should know that there is great wisdom in what Allaah has commanded and what He has forbidden; it is the straight path and is the only way in which man can be safe and at peace, protecting his honour, his mind and his health, in accordance with the natural disposition (fitrah) with which Allaah has created man.

Some heretics have tried to attack Islam and its rulings; they have denounced divorce and plural marriage and permitted alcohol. Those who look at the state of their societies will see the state of misery which those societies have reached.

When they rejected divorce, murder took its place. When they rejected plural marriage, men started to take mistresses instead. When they allowed alcohol, all kinds of shameful and immoral actions became widespread.

They (gays and lesbians) both go against the natural disposition (fitrah) which Allaah has created in mankind – and also in animals – whereby the male is inclined towards the female, and vice versa.

Whoever goes against that goes against the natural disposition of mankind, the fitrah.
The spread of homosexuality has caused man diseases which neither the east nor the west can deny exist because of them. Even if the only result of this perversion was AIDS – which attacks the immune system in humans – that would be enough.

It also causes the breakup of the family and leads people to give up their work and study because they are preoccupied with these perversions.

Since the prohibition has come from his Lord, the Muslim should not wait until medicine proves that harm befalls the one who does that which Allaah has forbidden. Rather he must believe firmly that Allaah only prescribes that which is good for people, and these modern discoveries should only increase his certainty and confidence in the greatness of Allaah's wisdom.

Ibn al-Qayyim said:

Both of them – fornication and homosexuality – involve immorality that goes against the wisdom of Allaah's creation and commandment. For homosexuality involves innumerable evil and harms, and the one to whom it is done would be better off being killed than having this done to him, because after that he will become so evil and so corrupt that there can be no hope of his being reformed, and all good is lost for him, and he will no longer feel any shame before Allaah or before His creation. The semen of the one who did that to him will act as a poison on his body and soul. The scholars differed as to whether the one to whom it is done will ever enter Paradise. There are two opinions which I heard Shaykh al-Islam (may Allaah have mercy on him) narrate."

(al-Jawaab al-Kaafi, p. 115).

2. Lesbianism means one woman doing to another something like that which a man does to a woman. Homosexuality means having intercourse with males in the back passage. This was the action of the accursed people of the Prophet of Allaah Loot (peace be upon him). In sharee'ah terminology it refers to inserting the tip of the penis into the anus of a male.
What is mentioned concerning these actions in the Qur'aan and Sunnah:

A – Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

"And (remember) Loot (Lot), when he said to his people: 'Do you commit the worst sin such as none preceding you has committed in the 'Aalameen (mankind and jinn)?
Verily, you practise your lusts on men instead of women. Nay, but you are a people transgressing beyond bounds (by committing great sins)'"

[al-A'raaf 7:80-81]

B – "Verily, We sent against them a violent storm of stones (which destroyed them all), except the family of Loot (Lot), them We saved in the last hour of the night"

[al-Qamar 54:34 – interpretation of the meaning]

C – "And (remember) Loot (Lot), when he said to his people: 'Do you commit the worst sin such as none preceding you has committed in the 'Aalameen (mankind and jinn)?"

[al-A'raaf 7:80 – interpretation of the meaning]

And Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
"And (remember) Loot (Lot), when he said to his people: 'You commit Al‑Faahishah (sodomy the worst sin) which none has preceded you in (committing) it in the 'Aalameen (mankind and jinn)'"

[al-'Ankaboot 29:28]

D – "And (remember) Loot (Lot), We gave him Hukm (right judgement of the affairs and Prophethood) and (religious) knowledge, and We saved him from the town (folk) who practised Al‑Khabaa'ith (evil, wicked and filthy deeds). Verily, they were a people given to evil, and were Faasiqoon (rebellious, disobedient to Allaah)"

[al-Anbiya' 21:74 – interpretation of the meaning]

E – "And (remember) Loot (Lot)! When he said to his people, 'Do you commit Al‑Faahishah (evil, great sin, every kind of unlawful sexual intercourse, sodomy) while you see (one another doing evil without any screen)

Do you practise your lusts on men instead of women? Nay, but you are a people who behave senselessly.'

There was no other answer given by his people except that they said: 'Drive out the family of Loot (Lot) from your city. Verily, these are men who want to be clean and pure!'
So We saved him and his family, except his wife. We destined her to be of those who remained behind.

And We rained down on them a rain (of stones). So evil was the rain of those who were warned"
[al-Naml 27:54-58 – interpretation of the meaning]
These verses refer to the punishment that befell the people of Loot. With regard to the rulings on them:

F – Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning]:
"And the two persons (man and woman) among you who commit illegal sexual intercourse, hurt them both. And if they repent (promise Allaah that they will never repeat, i.e. commit illegal sexual intercourse and other similar sins) and do righteous good deeds, leave them alone. Surely, Allaah is Ever All-Forgiving (the One Who forgives and accepts repentance), (and He is) Most Merciful"

[al-Nisa' 4:16]

Ibn Katheer said:
"The words of Allaah 'And the two persons (man and woman) among you who commit illegal sexual intercourse, hurt them both' mean, those who commit immoral actions, punish them both. Ibn 'Abbaas (may Allaah be pleased with him), Sa'eed ibn Jubayr and others said: By condemning them, shaming them and hitting them with shoes. This was the ruling until Allaah abrogated it and replaced it with whipping and stoning. 'Ikrimah, 'Ata, al-Hasan and 'Abd-Allaah ibn Katheer said: This was revealed concerning a man and woman who commit fornication. Al-Saddi said, it was revealed concerning young people before they get married. Mujaahid said: it was revealed concerning two men if they admit it bluntly; a hint is not sufficient – as if he was referring to homosexuality. And Allaah knows best."
(Tafseer Ibn Katheer, 1/463).

G – It was narrated that Jaabir (may Allaah be pleased with him): "The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: 'There is nothing I fear for my ummah more than the deed of the people of Loot.'"

(Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 1457; Ibn Maajah, 2563. This hadeeth was classed as saheeh by Shaykh al-Albaani (may Allaah have mercy on him) in Saheeh al-Jaami' , no. 1552).
H – It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbaas said: "The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "… cursed is the one who has intercourse with an animal, cursed is the one who does the action of the people of Loot."

(Narrated by Ahmad, 1878. This hadeeth was classed as saheeh by Shaykh al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami', no. 5891).

I – It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbaas said: "The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: 'Whoever you find doing the deed of the people of Loot, kill the one who does it and the one to whom it is done."

(Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 1456; Abu Dawood, 4462; Ibn Maajah, 2561. This hadeeth was classed as saheeh by Shaykh al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami' , no. 6589).
And Allaah knows best.

"O Allah!! When You give me the Right Path ,then Pleaseeee never help me to miss Your Right Path"!!!!!!- Amin

BEHAVIOUR IN MOSQUES

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

BEHAVIOUR IN MOSQUES

1.Going to the mosque with calm and dignity It is preferred for one to walk to the mosque with calm and dignity and not in a hurry or rush. This is because the person is considered to be in prayer when he is going to the salah (and also while he is waiting for it).

Abu Qatadah reports that the Prophet (saws) said: "We were praying with the Prophet (saws) when we heard the clamoring of some men. When they had prayed, the Prophet (saws) inquired: 'What was the matter with you?' They answered: 'We were hurrying for the salah.' He
(saws) said: 'Do not do that...when you come to the salah come in peace and calm, and pray what you can with congregation and complete what you have missed.'"

Related by al-Bukhari and Muslim

Abu Hurairah reports that the Prophet (saws) said:
"When you hear the ‘iqamah’, proceed to the prayer with calm and dignity and do not rush. Pray what you can (with congregation) and complete what you miss."

Related by Bukhari and Muslim

It is an extremely preferred Sunnah and the guidance of the Messenger of Allah (saws) that when a believer walks towards a masjid to offer his prayers, even if the prayer has started, the believers should neither rush or hurry, but walk in a calm and dignified manner towards their place in ‘salaah’, then pray whatever they can with the congregation and complete what they have missed. It is expected that they will receive their full and due reward from their Lord.

Abu Hurairah reports that the Prophet (saws) said:
"The prayer of a man in congregation is twenty-seven times more superior (in reward) to his prayer in his house or market - and this is because he makes the wudu and perfects it, and goes to the masjid with the sole purpose of performing the salah. He does not take a step without being raised a degree, and having one of his sins erased. When he prays, as long as he does not lose his wudu, the Angels keep on supplicating [for him] 'O Allah, bless him. O Allah, have mercy on him.' And he is considered in salah as long as he is waiting for the salah."

Related by al-Bukhari and Muslim,

Abu Hurairah reports that the Prophet (saws) said:
"If the people knew what (excellence, rewards, etc.) was in the ‘adhan’ and the first row (of the prayer), and that they could not get it save by drawing lots, they would draw lots! If they knew the reward for praying the noon prayer early in its time, they would race to it. And if they knew the reward for the night and the morning prayers in congregation, they would come to them
even if they had to crawl!"

Related by al-Bukhari,

Abu Hurairah reports that the Prophet (saws) said:
The Messenger of Allah (saws) said: ‘If you were to know what (excellence) lies in the first rows, there would have been drawing of lots (for filling them).’

Related by Muslim,

The Messenger of Allah (saws) guided the believers to come as early as possible for their ‘salaah’ in congregation, and strive their utmost to take their positions in the first rows….for if one only knew the excellence and rewards and merits of praying the first row behind the imam, the believers would draw lots to occupy those blessed spaces! If one is delayed for any reason in attending their prayers, the Prophet (saws) guided that one approach the masajids in a calm and dignified manner and neither run nor rush to catch their prayers. If one wishes to avail rewards and merits, one should come as early as possible for their prayer….but it would be severely disliked and discouraged that one run or rush towards the salaah, whether in Ramadan
or at any other time of the year.

LISTED BELOW ARE WAYS TO INCREASE OUR IMAAN

LISTED BELOW ARE WAYS TO INCREASE OUR IMAAN

1) Recite and ponder on the meanings of the Quran. Tranquility then descends and our hearts become soft. To get optimum benefit, remind yourself that Allah is speaking to you. People are described in different categories in the Quran; think of which one you find yourself in.

2) Realize the greatness of Allah. Everything is under His control. There are signs in everything we see that points us to His greatness. Everything happens according to His permission. Allah keeps track and looks after everything, even a black ant on a black rock on a black moonless night.

3) Make an effort to gain knowledge, for at least the basic things in daily life e.g. how to make wudu properly. Know the meanings behind Allah's names and attributes. People who have taqwa are those who have knowledge .

4) Attend gatherings where Allah is remembered. In such gatherings we are surrounded by angels.

5) We have to increase our good deeds. One good deed leads to another good deed. Allah will make the way easy for someone who gives charity and also make it easy for him or her to do good deeds. Good deeds must be done continuously, not in spurts.

6) We must fear the miserable end to our lives; the remembrance of death is the destroyer of pleasures.

7) Remember the different levels of akhirah, for instance when we are put in our graves, when we are judged, whether we will be in paradise or hell.

8) Make dua, realize that we need Allah. Be humble. Don't covet material things in this life.

9) Our love for Subhana Wa Ta'Ala must be shown in actions. We must hope Allah will accept our prayers, and be in constant fear that we do wrong. At night before going to sleep, we must think about what good we did during that day.

10) Realize the effects of sins and disobedience- one's imaan is increased with good deeds and our imaan is decreased by bad deeds. Everything that happens is because Allah wanted it. When calamity befalls us- it is also from Allah. It is a direct result of our disobedience to Allah.

SIGNS OF WEAK IMAAN

What is Imaan? Imaan is the faith of the Almighty, fear that He is watching us, which inturn brings out the honesty of a human being.

This Imaan stops you to do wrong deeds. If ur Imaan is strong you wont divulge into wrong doings and vice-versa. Be-imaan is a word derived from this same word which means a cheat. Be-imaan insaan !

SIGNS OF WEAK IMAAN

1) Committing sins and not feeling any guilt.

2) Having a hard heart and no desire to read the Quran.

3) Feeling too lazy to do good deeds, e.g. being late for salat

4) Neglecting the Sunnah.

5) Having mood swings, for instance being upset about petty things and bothered and irritated most of the time.

6) Not feeling anything when hearing verses from the Quran, for example when Allah warns us of punishments and His promise of glad tidings.

7) Finding difficulty in remembering Allah and making dhikr.

8) Not feeling bad when things are done against the Shariah.

9) Desiring status and wealth.

10) Being mean and miserly, i.e. not wanting to part with wealth.

11) Ordering others to do good deeds when not practising them ourselves.

12) Feeling pleased when things are not progressing for others.

13) Being concerned with whether something is haram or halal only; and not avoiding makroo (not recommended) things.

14) Making fun of people who do simple good deeds, like cleaning the mosque.

15) Not feeling concerned about the situation of Muslims.

16) Not feeling the responsibility to do something to promote Islam.

17) Being unable to deal with calamities, for instance crying and yelling in funerals.

18) Liking to argue just for the sake of arguing without any proof.

19) Becoming engrossed and very involved with dunya, worldly things, i.e. feeling bad only when losing something in terms of material wealth.

20) Becoming engrossed and obsessive about ourselves.

All praises and thanks be to Allah, Lord of everything that exists. The most Gracious, the Most Merciful.Master of the Day of Judgment You (alone) we worship, and You (alone) we ask for help.Guide us to the Straight Way The Way of of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace, not (the way) of those who earned Your Anger, nor those who went astray. Manners of our beloved Prophet Mohammed (pbuh)

Whenever the Prophet's (pbuh) followers reaped their first harvest, they brought early, fresh fruits to him. Then he would distribute them among those who sat around him. One morning, a poor man brought one fruit from his small farm and gave it to the Prophet..

The Prophet (pbuh) accepted the gift, tasted it and then went on eating it alone while the companions watched. One of those present meekly said,
"O Prophet of Allah, have you overlooked the right of those who watch while you eat?"

The Prophet (pbuh) smiled and waited till the man who had brought the fruit had gone. Then he said,

"I tasted the fruit and it was not yet ripe. Had I allowed you to have some of it, someone would have definitely shown his distaste, thus disappointing the poor man who brought this gift. Rather than make him feel bitter, I accepted the bitterness."

Mistakes in Salat (Namaaz)

Mistake 1 : Reciting Surat al-Fatiha fast without pausing after each verse.
The Prophet (SAW) used to pause after each verse of this surah. ( Abu Dawood ) Reciting Surat al-Fatiha fast without pausing after each verse. The Prophet (SAW) used to pause after each verse of this surah. ( Abu Dawood )

Mistake 2 : Sticking the arms to the sides of the body, in rukoo' or sujood, and
sticking the belly to the thighs in sujood.
The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "Let not one of you support himself on his forearms (in sujood ) like the dog.

Let him rest on his palms and keep his elbows away from his body." ( Sahih Muslim )
The Messenger of Allah (SAW) used to keep his arms away from his body during rukoo' and sujood that the whiteness of his armpits could be seen ( Sahih Muslim ).

Mistake 3 : Gazing upward during prayer.
Gazing upward during prayer. This may cause loss of concentration. We are commanded to lower our gaze, and look at the point at which the head rests during sujood.

The Prophet (SAW) warned: "Let those who raise their gaze up during prayer stop doing so, or else their sights would not return to them. [ i.e. lose their eyesight]." ( Muslim )

Mistake 4 : Resting only the tip of the head on the floor during sujood.
The Prophet (SAW) said: "I am commanded to prostrate on seven bones the forehead and the nose, the two hands [palms], the two knees, and the two feet." ( Sahih Muslim )

Applying the above command necessitates resting the forehead and the nose on the ground during sujood.

Mistake 5 : Hasty performance of prayer which does not allow repose and calmness in rukoo' or sujood.

The Messenger of Allah (SAW) saw a man who did not complete his rukoo' [bowing], and made a very short sujood [prostration]; he (SAW) said: "If this man dies while praying in this manner, he would die upholding a religion other than the religion of Muhammad."
Abu Hurairah (RA) said:

"My beloved friend, Muhammad (SAW) forbade me to perform postures of prayer copying the picking of a rooster; (signifying fast performance of prayer), moving eyes around like a fox and the sitting like monkeys ( i.e. to sit on thighs)." (Imam Ahmad & at-Tayalisi )

The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "The worst thief is the one who steals from his own prayer." People asked, 'Messenger of Allah! How could one steal from his own prayer?' He (SAW) said: "By not completing its rukoo' and sujood." (At-Tabarani & al-Hakim).
To complete rukoo' is to stay in that posture long enough to recite 'subhana rabbiyal Adtheem' three times, SLOWLY, and 'subhana rabbiyal-a'ala' three times, SLOWLY, in sujood.

He (SAW) also announced:
"He who does not complete his rukoo' and sujood, his prayer is void." (Abu Dawood & others)

Mistake 6
: Counting tasbeeh with the left hand
Counting tasbeeh with the left hand The Prophet (SAW) used to count tasbeeh on the fingers of his right hand after salah.

lbn Qudamah (RA) said: "The Messenger of Allah (SAW) used his right hand for tasbeeh." ( Abu Dawud )

The above hadeeth indicates clearly that the Prophet (SAW) used only one hand for counting tasbeeh. No Muslim with sound mind would imagine that the Prophet (SAW) used his left hand for counting tasbeeh. Aa'ishah (RA) said that the Prophet (SAW) used his left hand only for

Istinjaa', or cleaning himself after responding to the call of nature. He never used it for tasbeeh. Yasirah (RA) reported: The Prophet (SAW) commanded women to
count tasbeeh on their fingers.

The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "They (the fingers) will be made to speak, and will be questioned (on the Day of Resurrection.)" (At-Tirmithi)
The above hadeeth indicates that it is preferable to count tasbeeh on the fingers of the right hand than to do so on masbahah (rosary).

Mistake 7 : Crossing in front of a praying person.
The Messenger of Allah (SAW) warned: "Were the one who crosses in front of a praying person to know the consequences of doing so, he would have waited for *forty better than to cross in front of him." (Sahih Bukhari and Muslim).

*The forty in the tradition may be days months or even years. Allah knows best.

Whoever holds fast to Allah

[3. Surah Aal-e-Imran : Ayah 101]

And whoever holds fast to Allah, he indeed is guided to the right path.

[3. Surah Aal-e-Imran : Ayah 102]

O you who believe! be careful of (your duty to) Allah with the care which is due to Him, and do not die unless you are Muslims.

[3. Surah Aal-e-Imran : Ayah 103]

And hold fast by the covenant of Allah all together and be not disunited, and remember the favor of Allah on you when you were enemies, then He united your hearts so by His favor you became brethren; and you were on the brink of a pit of fire, then He saved you from it, thus does Allah make clear to you His communications that you may follow the right way.

[3. Surah Aal-e-Imran : Ayah 104]

And from among you there should be a party who invite to good and enjoin what is right and forbid the wrong, and these it is that shall be successful.

[3. Surah Aal-e-Imran : Ayah 105]

And be not like those who became divided and disagreed after clear arguments had come to them, and these it is that shall have a grievous chastisement.

[3. Surah Aal-e-Imran : Ayah 106]

On the day when (some) faces shall turn white and (some) faces shall turn black; then as to those whose faces turn black: Did you disbelieve after your believing? Taste therefore the chastisement because you disbelieved.

[3. Surah Aal-e-Imran : Ayah 107]

And as to those whose faces turn white, they shall be in Allah's mercy; in it they shall-abide.

[3. Surah Aal-e-Imran : Ayah 108]

These are the communications of Allah which We recite to you with truth, and Allah does not desire any injustice to the creatures.

[3. Surah Aal-e-Imran : Ayah 109]

And whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is Allah's; and to Allah all things return.

[3. Surah Aal-e-Imran : Ayah 110]

You are the best of the nations raised up for (the benefit of) men; you enjoin what is right and forbid the wrong and believe in Allah; and if the followers of the Book had believed it would have been better for them; of them (some) are believers and most of them are transgressors.
