Amazing facts about Azaan !
Have a look at a map of the world and you will find Indonesia on the eastern side of the earth. The major cities of Indonesia are Java, Sumatra, Borneo and Saibil.
As soon as dawn breaks on the eastern side of Saibil, at approximately 5:30 am local time, Fajar Aazaan begins. Thousands of Muezzins (Person who says Azaan) in Indonesia begin reciting the Aazaan. The process advances towards West Indonesia. One and a half hours after the Aazaan has been completed in Saibil, it echoes in Jakarta.
Sumatra then follows suit and before this auspicious process of calling Aazaan ends in Indonesia, it has already begun in Malaysia. Burma is next in line, and within an hour of its beginning in Jakarta, it reaches Dacca, the capital city of Bangladesh.
After Bangladesh, it has already prevailed in western India, from Calcutta to Srinagar. It then advances towards Bombay and the environment of entire India
resounds with this proclamation. Srinagar and Sialkot (a north city in Pakistan) have the same timing for Aazaan. The time difference between Sialkot, Quetta, and Karachi is forty minutes, and within this time,Fajar Aazaan is heard throughout Pakistan.
Before it ends there, it has already begun in Afghanistan and Muscat. The time difference between Muscat and Baghdad is one hour. Aazaan resounds during this
one hour in the environments of Hijaaz-e-Muqaddas (Holy cities of Makkah and Madinah), Yemen, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Iraq.
The time difference between Baghdad and Alexandria in Egypt is again one hour. Aazaan continues to resound in Syria, Egypt, Somalia and Sudan during this hour. The time difference between eastern and western Turkey is one and a half hours, and during this time it is echoed with the call to prayer.
Alexandria and Tripoli (capital of Libya) are located at one hour's difference. The process of calling Aazaan thus continues throughout the whole of Africa. Therefore, the proclamation of the "Tawheed" and "Risaalat" that had begun in Indonesia reaches the Eastern Shore of the Atlantic Ocean after nine and half hours.
Prior to the Aazaan reaching the shores of the Atlantic, the process of "Zohar Aazaan" has already started in east Indonesia, and before it reaches Dacca, "Asr
Aazaan" has started. This has hardly reached Jakarta one and half hours later, the time of "Maghrib" becomes due, and no sooner has "Maghrib" time reached Sumatra, the time for calling "Isha Aazaan" has commenced in Saibil!
When the Muazzins of Indonesia are calling out "Fajar Aazaan", the African Muazzins are calling the Aazaan for Isha. If we were to ponder over this phenomenon thoughtfully, we would conclude the amazing fact that there is not even a single moment when hundreds of thousands of Muazzins around the world are not reciting
the Aazaan on the surface of this earth.
Even as you read this material right now, you can be sure there are atleast thousands of people who are hearing and reciting the Aazaan!!!
Wasn't it amazing. Post your comments. This was recieved by me through an email by brother Wasim Quadri sometimes back. I don't know who has compiled it.

"786" - Does it stand for 'Bismillahi Rahmaani Raheem'?
786 is the numerical representation of "Bismillahirrahamaanirraheem" has no religious or Islamic significance.
The numerals 786 or any other numerals in no way represent 'Bismillaah al-Rahmaan al-Raheem' or other Surahs of the noble Qur'ân and is not the Sunnah either.
CAN NUMBER 786 REPLACE THE HOLY NAME OF GOD?
Allaah say in Qur'ân "Verily, We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur'ân in order that you may understand" (Surah Yousuf 12:2).
We are instructed to recite the Qur'an Majeed, as can be seen from the following verses: "And (it is) a Qur'ân which We have divided (into parts), in order that you might recite it to me n at intervals. And We have revealed it by stages. (in 23 years)." (Surah Bani Israil 17:106); "....So RECITE as much of the Qur'ân as may be easy (for you),..." (Surah Muzammil 73:20).
Now would one recite the Qur'an if it is reduced to numbers? As an example, we shall reduce the Surah Fatihah to numerical figures for the benefit of the reader.
Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem........................
Al-humdolillaahir rubbuaalamin..................
Ar-Rahmaan-ur-Raheem..........
Malikay yawm-midhdeen.................
Eeyya ka Na' Bo-du Wa eeyya ka nastha'een....................
Ah'daynas-sira thalmustaqeem...........and in NO WAY sacred. It is a conspiracy against the Holy Book of Allaah.
This old game of numbers was practised by the ancient Egyptians, as did many other civilizations. Islam came to ELIMINATE ALL such superstitions, mysteries and numerological mumbo-jumbo. However, Muslims are still enslaved to the number game, and think that 786 represent BISMILLAAHIR RAHMAANIR RAHEEM.
The innovation of writing '786' replacing 'Bismillaah al-Rahmaan al-Raheem' has been adopted for a long time and the majority of the Ummah is still indulged in it inadvertently. Apart from the common folk, the scholars also heed no attention towards it and to avoid disrespect to the Holy Words they use it in their letters and documents. They adopt it as 'correct' and 'better' way to invite Allah's blessings and have also started replacing the Holy Words by this number on their houses, offices, buildings, etc. Unfortunately, this tendency is gradually gaining momentum. But, do we see this number instead of the Holy Words in the Holy Qur'ân? Or, can we write it there as well?
Can we remove 'Bismillaah al-Rahmaan al-Raheem' from the top of Surah al-Fatihah and replace it with the number 786? Obviously not.
If we study the Qur'ân, we see it carries the holy words in a letter from Prophet Solomon (pbuh) to the Queen of Sheeba - Bilqis - who was an infidel at that time. Even Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in his letters to different heads of states and governments, used the holy words at the top. Therefore, whosoever uses 786 with the intention to obtain Allaah's blessings, is a misguided person and any attempt to justify it, is ignorance.
More astonishing is that fact that '786' is an aggregation of the numbers of Hindu 'Lord Hari Krishna'.
H(a)ri Kr(I)shna h-5, R-200, R-10, k-20, R-200, sh-300, n-50, a-1 = Aggregate of 786, Thus, the aggregate number of these letters (Hari Krishna) equals 786. This is also the case of 'Bismillaah al-Rahmaan al-Raheem'. There can be many word that can make that count. The above was just an example and not to be taken in the wrong sense.
Islam's foundation is laid on the belief in Taw heed (oneness of God). If we associate anyone with Allah's exalted names orally or practically, we would be committing infidelity which is an unpardonable sin. The Qur'an warns us, one who finds a rival against Allah, Allah will never allow him to enter paradise, and his abode is the hell. The letters by the Prophet (pbuh) to non-Muslim Kings and chiefs bear the holy words 'Bismillaah al-Rahmaan al-Raheem'. This was also the case of his noble companions. Did the Prophet (pbuh) and his companions respect the Holy Words less than we do? Was the verse, 'Today I completed your religion for you' (Surah Maidah 5:3), revealed to the Prophet (pbuh) or to the so called scholars of our age who are all bent to amend the Divine principles.
Now, when it became known that '786' is written in place of Hindu, 'Lord Krishna', and has no significance in the Holy Qur'an and Sunnah, it is obviously an innovation and goes against the Divine doctrine of 'Obey Allah and His Prophet'. Beware, of newly-innovated matters, for every innovation is a going astray (Jahanam).
Similarly, some Muslims replace Allah's name by the number '66' and the Prophet's name by '92'. But if one ask, the number '420' is used against somebody's name and he is called '420'. Can he bear such an insult?
Calling someone by a nick name is also a sin. Allah Ta'ala says, 'Don't call one another by nick names'. If Allah prohibits the use of nicknames for fellow human beings, how can He allow the use of such insulting replacement number for Himself and His Prophet (pbuh).'Bismillaah al-Rahmaan al-Raheem' great significance in the Qur'an and Muslims are ordered to begin any work but in the names Allah, not in the number of '786' or any other substitution.

BEHAVIOUR IN MOSQUES
BEHAVIOUR IN MOSQUES
1.Going to the mosque with calm and dignity It is preferred for one to walk to the mosque with calm and dignity and not in a hurry or rush. This is because the person is considered to be in prayer when he is going to the salah (and also while he is waiting for it).
Abu Qatadah reports that the Prophet (saws) said: "We were praying with the Prophet (saws) when we heard the clamoring of some men. When they had prayed, the Prophet (saws) inquired: 'What was the matter with you?' They answered: 'We were hurrying for the salah.' He
(saws) said: 'Do not do that...when you come to the salah come in peace and calm, and pray what you can with congregation and complete what you have missed.'"
Related by al-Bukhari and Muslim
Abu Hurairah reports that the Prophet (saws) said:
"When you hear the ‘iqamah’, proceed to the prayer with calm and dignity and do not rush. Pray what you can (with congregation) and complete what you miss."
Related by Bukhari and Muslim
It is an extremely preferred Sunnah and the guidance of the Messenger of Allah (saws) that when a believer walks towards a masjid to offer his prayers, even if the prayer has started, the believers should neither rush or hurry, but walk in a calm and dignified manner towards their place in ‘salaah’, then pray whatever they can with the congregation and complete what they have missed. It is expected that they will receive their full and due reward from their Lord.
Abu Hurairah reports that the Prophet (saws) said:
"The prayer of a man in congregation is twenty-seven times more superior (in reward) to his prayer in his house or market - and this is because he makes the wudu and perfects it, and goes to the masjid with the sole purpose of performing the salah. He does not take a step without being raised a degree, and having one of his sins erased. When he prays, as long as he does not lose his wudu, the Angels keep on supplicating [for him] 'O Allah, bless him. O Allah, have mercy on him.' And he is considered in salah as long as he is waiting for the salah."
Related by al-Bukhari and Muslim,
Abu Hurairah reports that the Prophet (saws) said:
"If the people knew what (excellence, rewards, etc.) was in the ‘adhan’ and the first row (of the prayer), and that they could not get it save by drawing lots, they would draw lots! If they knew the reward for praying the noon prayer early in its time, they would race to it. And if they knew the reward for the night and the morning prayers in congregation, they would come to them
even if they had to crawl!"
Related by al-Bukhari,
Abu Hurairah reports that the Prophet (saws) said:
The Messenger of Allah (saws) said: ‘If you were to know what (excellence) lies in the first rows, there would have been drawing of lots (for filling them).’
Related by Muslim,
The Messenger of Allah (saws) guided the believers to come as early as possible for their ‘salaah’ in congregation, and strive their utmost to take their positions in the first rows….for if one only knew the excellence and rewards and merits of praying the first row behind the imam, the believers would draw lots to occupy those blessed spaces! If one is delayed for any reason in attending their prayers, the Prophet (saws) guided that one approach the masajids in a calm and dignified manner and neither run nor rush to catch their prayers. If one wishes to avail rewards and merits, one should come as early as possible for their prayer….but it would be severely disliked and discouraged that one run or rush towards the salaah, whether in Ramadan
or at any other time of the year.

Mistakes in Salat (Namaaz)
Mistake 1 : Reciting Surat al-Fatiha fast without pausing after each verse.
The Prophet (SAW) used to pause after each verse of this surah. ( Abu Dawood ) Reciting Surat al-Fatiha fast without pausing after each verse. The Prophet (SAW) used to pause after each verse of this surah. ( Abu Dawood )
Mistake 2 : Sticking the arms to the sides of the body, in rukoo' or sujood, and
sticking the belly to the thighs in sujood.
The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "Let not one of you support himself on his forearms (in sujood ) like the dog.
Let him rest on his palms and keep his elbows away from his body." ( Sahih Muslim )
The Messenger of Allah (SAW) used to keep his arms away from his body during rukoo' and sujood that the whiteness of his armpits could be seen ( Sahih Muslim ).
Mistake 3 : Gazing upward during prayer.
Gazing upward during prayer. This may cause loss of concentration. We are commanded to lower our gaze, and look at the point at which the head rests during sujood.
The Prophet (SAW) warned: "Let those who raise their gaze up during prayer stop doing so, or else their sights would not return to them. [ i.e. lose their eyesight]." ( Muslim )
Mistake 4 : Resting only the tip of the head on the floor during sujood.
The Prophet (SAW) said: "I am commanded to prostrate on seven bones the forehead and the nose, the two hands [palms], the two knees, and the two feet." ( Sahih Muslim )
Applying the above command necessitates resting the forehead and the nose on the ground during sujood.
Mistake 5 : Hasty performance of prayer which does not allow repose and calmness in rukoo' or sujood.
The Messenger of Allah (SAW) saw a man who did not complete his rukoo' [bowing], and made a very short sujood [prostration]; he (SAW) said: "If this man dies while praying in this manner, he would die upholding a religion other than the religion of Muhammad."
Abu Hurairah (RA) said:
"My beloved friend, Muhammad (SAW) forbade me to perform postures of prayer copying the picking of a rooster; (signifying fast performance of prayer), moving eyes around like a fox and the sitting like monkeys ( i.e. to sit on thighs)." (Imam Ahmad & at-Tayalisi )
The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "The worst thief is the one who steals from his own prayer." People asked, 'Messenger of Allah! How could one steal from his own prayer?' He (SAW) said: "By not completing its rukoo' and sujood." (At-Tabarani & al-Hakim).
To complete rukoo' is to stay in that posture long enough to recite 'subhana rabbiyal Adtheem' three times, SLOWLY, and 'subhana rabbiyal-a'ala' three times, SLOWLY, in sujood.
He (SAW) also announced:
"He who does not complete his rukoo' and sujood, his prayer is void." (Abu Dawood & others)
Mistake 6 : Counting tasbeeh with the left hand
Counting tasbeeh with the left hand The Prophet (SAW) used to count tasbeeh on the fingers of his right hand after salah.
lbn Qudamah (RA) said: "The Messenger of Allah (SAW) used his right hand for tasbeeh." ( Abu Dawud )
The above hadeeth indicates clearly that the Prophet (SAW) used only one hand for counting tasbeeh. No Muslim with sound mind would imagine that the Prophet (SAW) used his left hand for counting tasbeeh. Aa'ishah (RA) said that the Prophet (SAW) used his left hand only for
Istinjaa', or cleaning himself after responding to the call of nature. He never used it for tasbeeh. Yasirah (RA) reported: The Prophet (SAW) commanded women to
count tasbeeh on their fingers.
The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "They (the fingers) will be made to speak, and will be questioned (on the Day of Resurrection.)" (At-Tirmithi)
The above hadeeth indicates that it is preferable to count tasbeeh on the fingers of the right hand than to do so on masbahah (rosary).
Mistake 7 : Crossing in front of a praying person.
The Messenger of Allah (SAW) warned: "Were the one who crosses in front of a praying person to know the consequences of doing so, he would have waited for *forty better than to cross in front of him." (Sahih Bukhari and Muslim).
*The forty in the tradition may be days months or even years. Allah knows best.

Whoever holds fast to Allah
And whoever holds fast to Allah, he indeed is guided to the right path.
[3. Surah Aal-e-Imran : Ayah 102]
O you who believe! be careful of (your duty to) Allah with the care which is due to Him, and do not die unless you are Muslims.
[3. Surah Aal-e-Imran : Ayah 103]
And hold fast by the covenant of Allah all together and be not disunited, and remember the favor of Allah on you when you were enemies, then He united your hearts so by His favor you became brethren; and you were on the brink of a pit of fire, then He saved you from it, thus does Allah make clear to you His communications that you may follow the right way.
[3. Surah Aal-e-Imran : Ayah 104]
And from among you there should be a party who invite to good and enjoin what is right and forbid the wrong, and these it is that shall be successful.
[3. Surah Aal-e-Imran : Ayah 105]
And be not like those who became divided and disagreed after clear arguments had come to them, and these it is that shall have a grievous chastisement.
[3. Surah Aal-e-Imran : Ayah 106]
On the day when (some) faces shall turn white and (some) faces shall turn black; then as to those whose faces turn black: Did you disbelieve after your believing? Taste therefore the chastisement because you disbelieved.
[3. Surah Aal-e-Imran : Ayah 107]
And as to those whose faces turn white, they shall be in Allah's mercy; in it they shall-abide.
[3. Surah Aal-e-Imran : Ayah 108]
These are the communications of Allah which We recite to you with truth, and Allah does not desire any injustice to the creatures.
[3. Surah Aal-e-Imran : Ayah 109]
And whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is Allah's; and to Allah all things return.
[3. Surah Aal-e-Imran : Ayah 110]
You are the best of the nations raised up for (the benefit of) men; you enjoin what is right and forbid the wrong and believe in Allah; and if the followers of the Book had believed it would have been better for them; of them (some) are believers and most of them are transgressors.
